6.58: MANIFESTO
Andrea Peña & Artists
Choreographer Andrea Peña brings together nine performers and a soprano singer in great physicality to skillfully question the codes that govern us.
With this critical and artistic manifesto in three tableaux, Andrea Peña & Artists tackles our relationship with social and virtual systems, as well as external forces with which every human being must constantly deal. Here, dancers interact in turn with a computer, an opera singer and a DJ to explore the concepts of artifice and artificiality that are deeply rooted in us and dictate the way we live. In daily life, artificiality is intertwined with our bodies and minds; artifice colors our interactions, our collective and individual experiences. It's a pleasure to reconnect with the raw, rigorous and visceral creative energy of the choreographer and her collaborators in this large-scale, vibrant and magnetic piece.
